Accessibility
Built to work for everyone
We want everyone to be able to use this site and reach us. Here is what we have done, the standard we aim for, and how to tell us if something does not work for you.
Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use this site. That includes people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, or a phone with the text turned up.
We also want everyone to be able to reach us. If any part of the site gets in your way, we want to fix it.
What we've done
We built the site with these things in mind:
- The site uses semantic HTML. You can move through it with a keyboard, and the focus outline is always visible.
- Colour contrast targets WCAG AA. The primary green button uses a white label at roughly 7 to 1.
- The site respects your device’s “reduce motion” setting. If you prefer reduced motion, all animation turns off.
- Text stays readable, and the layout adjusts down to small phones.
- Images that carry meaning have a text alternative. Images that are purely decorative are marked as decorative.
The standard we aim for
We built this site to target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a widely used guideline for making the web easier to use.
We check our work with automated tools, such as axe, while we build. Automated checks are only part of the picture, so we keep testing as the site grows.
Known limitations
We want to be honest. Automated testing does not catch everything. A page may still have a problem we have not found yet.
If something does not work for you, we want to know. We treat accessibility fixes as a priority.
